Detailed Installation

Please read the instructions and note the names of the various components which are part of this system. The wall channel is to be placed on the same end wall where the shower head and faucets are located. For this installation you will need:

  • a quality cleaner eg. isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol)
  • sand paper or small nail file
  • scissors or a sharp knife

Straighten the vinyl tube by running under a hot water tap.

Step 1: Preparation

Identify wall area below the shower rod where you will be placing the wall channel.

While the tape is still on the wall channel, review the placement and the spacing on the wall. (refer to step 2B)

Clean the wall area and allow to thoroughly dry (*Ideally with a solution of 50/50 rubbing alcohol and water)
Follow solvent manufacturer’s precautionary warning and suggested handling procedures when using solvents

Step 2 : Applying the Wall Channel

Sand or file the ends of the wall channel to smooth any sharp ends or edges.

A. Remove the paper covering the double-sided tape from the plastic wall channel section.

B. To ensure easier cleaning, place one end of the wall channel approximately one half inch (1/2” ) up from the top of the tub and align it directly towards the shower rod.

C. Be careful to avoid exposed tape coming in contact with surfaces other than the desired final wall location and then press firmly into place.

Step 3 : Hanging the Vinyl Tube

D. Hang the vinyl tube from the 1st shower ring closest to the wall to be sealed.

E. F. & G. Push the vinyl tube into the complete length of the wall channel to establish the mark and cut the tube so it rests slightly on top of the tub when cut.

H. Insert the vinyl tube into the shower curtain’s side “Stay Dry” hem.

I. & J. Pull the curtain up so the curtain ring can go through both the tube and the first eyelet on the curtain and then finish connecting the shower curtain to the remaining rings.

K & L To create the seal, push the curtain into the wall channel starting at the bottom end.
